Children’s Discovery Museum to celebrate groundbreaking

The Children’s Discovery Museum of the Golden Crescent will have a celebratory groundbreaking at 1 p.m. Thursday.

The event will be at its new facility at 1205 Sam Houston Drive, the former Playhouse Theatre.

The museum will open in two phases, with the first phase anticipated to be completed by Sept. 24.
