Invention Convention is a permanent—yet continually evolving—installation for children, ages of 5-12, featuring inventive activities in the areas of simple mechanics, science, communication and the arts.


Opened March 2009.

Many of the activities invite children to look at challenges from everyday life in new ways, while others take children on flights of inventive fancy. More than an exhibit, Invention Convention is a workshop, an event and a community.

Children experience the processes involved in invention and creative problem solving through activities and programs that have a positive and ongoing impact on the way they and their parents and teachers view the act of "tinkering".
